What is letterpress, and what does the print look like?: Letterpress is a relief printing process. Type is inked and pressed directly into the paper, leaving a visible impression. The result is tactile in a way offset and digital printing are not. Each card is slightly different from the next.
Why are the layouts fixed?: Because the type is fixed. The fonts on hand determine what can be set, while the layout systems determine how it’s set. Constraints that come from the process are not arbitrary — they're what makes this a press, not a print shop.
What do I actually receive?: A set of letterpress-printed correspondence cards or notecards, printed on cotton or cotton-blend stock, in one of three typographic systems. Quantity options will be confirmed at launch.
Do you ship internationally?: Yes. The press is based in the EU. Orders ship worldwide. Delivery to the United States typically takes ten to fourteen days.
How does reordering work?: Your configuration is saved to your account after the first order. When you need more, you reorder the same set in one step — no reconfiguration, no decisions. That’s the point.
